Training of development of therapeutic skills<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This training is intended for mental health professionals who actively work with clients<\/strong> and wish to expand their repertoire of therapeutic skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is intended for participants across therapeutic approaches<\/strong>, as well as for those who wish to become familiar with an introduction to the theory and practice of Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emphasis is placed on developing practical skills in creating a high-quality and safe therapeutic alliance. Participants learn to develop specific skills necessary for psychotherapeutic assessment, the use of effective interventions, and evaluating client responses. The practical session is followed by integration of the material in a group process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The training is conducted in two consecutive modules (the first lasting 3 days and the second 2 days). Work is carried out in a group of 8 participants. More information can be found on the website of the Slovak Society for ISTDP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Core training in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Basic Training in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy<\/strong> (or \u201cISTDP Core Training\u201d) is a three-year comprehensive educational program for practicing therapists with completed psychotherapeutic education<\/strong> (preferably in one of the psychodynamic approaches) who wish to begin working with the ISTDP approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, the training of the first training group is underway in collaboration with the ISTDP Institute, Washington D.C. (2024\u201327). More information can be found on the website of the Slovak Society for ISTDP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Supervision and training therapy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to training therapy and supervision for participants of psychodynamic psychotherapy trainings, I provide individual or group supervision of psychotherapeutic work in the ISTDP approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In ISTDP supervision, we work with a video recording of the presented case<\/strong>. Supervision can be conducted individually (in person or online) or online in a group format (with one active presenting participant and the other students as observers, followed by a brief concluding group discussion).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
